My major tasks are • Review and approval of welding documentation (welding procedure, PWHT procedure, method statement) from heat exchanger, pressure vessels, valve manufacturers. • Review and approval of welding documentation from piping, pressure vessels, pipeline, structure steel contractors. • Technical maintenance and support in the following areas: verification of design technological requirements for welding, review and approval of welding documentation (welding procedures, inspection and test plans, maps of welds, instructions for ensuring and quality control of welding, PWHT procedures). • Participation as an expert in auditing quality assurance and quality control systems of welding. • Participation as an expert in the qualification evaluation of suppliers and contractors. • Interacts with CTC (Chevron CTC (USA)) welding specialists in solving methodological and technical issues of welding. • Developing and introduce of welding procedures and instructions for maintenance for Structural Steel and Aluminum, Pressure vessels, Piping (Piping Spools and Process Equipment including exotic materials from highly alloyed Corrosion Resistance Allows (Ni)). • In my job duties I widely use and following Chevron specifications, and International Codes and Standards: ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME B31P, ASME IX, ASME II, ASME VIII, API 1104, AWS D1.2, NACE MR0175 / ISO15156, AWS D1.1, as well as local codes and standards such as GOSTs and SNiPs of RoK.
