Lead Network Engineer
Building network infrastructure for Future Growth Project in Tengiz field. Maintenance and support enterprise network composed of more than 1000 network nodes interconnected via various types of media (FOC, radio bridges, pLTE, WiFi mesh). Design IPv4 addressing plan, maintain technical documentation and diagrams. Participating in commissioning process of telecom systems from construction team. Working with contractors (drawing up scope of work) and Internet service providers (managing circuits). Purchase of equipment and licenses. IRM tasks closure and verifying network devices compliance to meet Chevron standards. Managing Cisco licenses in CX Cloud portal. Participating in transition process of telecom systems from FGP to Base Business. Configuration, installation and maintenance of Cisco Access Layer switches and routers (C3560-CX, C3850, C9300, IE5000, IR1101, ISR4221), Distribution and Core Layer switches (C6509-E, C6807-XL). Building new MPLS Core network consisting of 8 Provider routers (ASR 9901), 8 Provider Edge routers (C9500-32QC), 16 Customer Edge routers (C9606R) and 3 Route Reflectors (C8300). Migration existing TCO sites from old network design to new MPLS Core network. Maintenance wireless networks based on Cisco WLC 5520 and 9800-80 to provide WiFi access to corporate network and public Internet for users, and also connecting remote offices via WiFi mesh networks. Maintenance radio bridges based on Motorola Canopy PMP 450/450i subscriber modules and access points to connect remote offices via radio circuits. Support VoIP telephony based on Cisco CUCM and Unity servers. Focused on technologies and protocols: - Switching: VLANs, RSTP, HSRP, EtherChannel, StackWise, VSS; - Routing: EIGRP, ISIS, OSPF, MP-BGP, Redistribution, Route-maps, MPLS L2VPNs/L3VPNs, Multicast PIM, DMVPN; - Security: AAA, RADIUS/Dot1x/MAB, TACACS; - SNMPv3, NetFlow, IP SLA. Working with applications: - Orion SolarWinds for network management, monitoring and compliance; - Aruba ClearPass RADIUS server for troubleshooting Dot1X issues; - Airmagnet Site Survey for design and troubleshooting wireless networks; - Cisco ThousandEyes for network performance tests and statistics; - ServiceNow for MOC, incidents tracking, inventory reports; - Ansible for network automation (IOS upgrade).

Network Engineer
In period from 2011 to 2017 years our team was maintaining optical SDH network of more than 500 kilometers for Export Pipeline KPO b.v. SDH Data Transmission System was deployed as STM-4 logical ring topology, composed of 40 Add-Drop Ericsson OMS1240 multiplexers. Network nodes (multiplexers) were interconnected via single fiber-optic cable, laid along the Pipeline. By means of individual fiber cores, ring topology was simulated, interconnecting even and odd network nodes. This was providing hardware redundancy to guarantee business continuity. Network Management System was based on two HP Integrity rx2660 rack servers with SSO software installed: 1. ServiceOn Element Manager – to configuring each multiplexer separately and monitoring alarms; 2. ServiceOn Network Manager – to manage virtual circuits. In addition to primary method (SNCP) of providing high availability to SDH network, redundant DWDM and VSAT data transmission systems were deployed to protect business critical data. At this period I was responsible for configuring and monitoring of SDH multiplexers OMS1240, Cisco 7200VXR and 2600 series routers, 2950, 2960 and 3750 series switches, HP-UX server, and worked with programs ServiceOn Element Manager and ServiceOn Network Manager. Beginning from 2017 year, old SDH transport network was being upgraded to a packet-based network worked on Cisco ASR 901 routers. As a core routing protocols was selected OSPF in conjunction with BGP and MPLS-TE to provide L2VPN services for customer. To carry TDM signals, such as voice and radio, we had deployed CEM services (SAToP and CESoP protocols), that emulates TDM circuits via MPLS core network. As an NMS was using Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager running on two Cisco UCS C220 M4 rack servers. To my duties also was added planning of new network design, configuring Cisco ASR 901 routers, deploying UCS C220 M4 server with software Cisco EPNM running on VMWare ESXi hypervisor.
