As Piping Engineer is responsible for develop drawings of piping systems in accordance with the design specifications, scope of works, design parameters, rules, company procedures and practices of the production’s work. Review and provide comments on the design drawings of other departments, contractors. Present reports on the status of documentation and on the progress of work. Review of the technical documentation and detailed drawings of other departments. Preparation of Work Pack (piping general arrangement, isometric, detail drawings, MTO, Tie-in schedule, closing site queries). Site survey: identify tie-in point of new pipes according to P&ID from client; Ensure that all aspects of the project design comply with standards SNiP, GOST, ASME, API, ASTM, NACE etc., safety requirements and procedures. Perform “As-Built” drawings of the existing piping systems according to procedures. Responding to Technical Queries and Site Queries during design and construction phases. As Pipeline Engineer is responsible for preparation of Construction Work Pack as per RoK Codes and International Standards (scope of work, pipeline and route layout, alignment sheets, detail crossing drawings, crossing matrix, bill of quantity, MTO, Tie-in schedule, route selection report and response for site queries). Site survey: visual review of pipeline right of way in the field as per RoK Codes and International Standards. Engineering support of procurement and construction. Review of Pipeline Mechanical Stress report, Topo and Geo Reports.

Response to Technical Queries and Site Queries during design and construction phases. Responsible for technical evaluation of vendor quotations / tender proposals on piping materials. Support on preparation of technical parts of tender documents, as well as in technical pre-qualification of the Bidders, review of technical bids for compliance with initial requirements and relevant Company, local and international standards. Engineering support to the projects for existing plant modifications and new constructed facilities. Prepare the scope of works for design activities for facility modification projects. Control and support design contractors for piping / mechanical deliverables during FEED and detail design phases, i.e. discipline quality control as well as multidisciplinary interface check of design deliverables. Technical support to Projects, Operations, Maintenance and with piping engineering expertise. Site survey: identify tie-in point of new pipes according to P&ID. Assist piping and material Technical Authorities as well as for preparation of deviation requests when deviating from Maersk Oil Technical standards requirements. Review the documentation of engineering contractors against Company specifications and ensure conformity of those to Maersk Standards/Specifications, local Kazakh standards (SNiP and GOST) and International standards (API / ASME / ISO (EN), DIN).
