This is a brand new and exciting position. The Department had been established shortly before my arrival to join the team. Its major task is to introduce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) thoughout the University (AMU), as well as analyze and monitor execution. Major responsibilities for my position include: - Manage a total team of 5 people: 2 directly subordinate experts in the Department, as well as 2 interns (part-time students), and 1 employee assigned from another department - Monthly collection of data on KPI execution from all other departments and faculties (including their respective cathedras); data are maintained in Google drive spreadsheets. - Monthly submission of reports to the Ministry of Health on KPI execution - Regular monitoring and analysis of KPIs, analyzing possibly non-matching (questionable) data points, and preparing the list of these for submission to Internal Audit for further inspection. - Other tasks: submission of weekly reports to the Executive Director for Strategic Development; use of pivot tables for analyzing data; translation of documents when necessary.

Manage the team of 8, Prepared for the XV Congress of the Nur Otan party which was held on Oct 17-18, Arranged a number of events, such as regional conferences in Aktobe, Oskemen etc., Prepare analytical information on key aspects related to political development in the country, activities of other parties etc.

• Managing the team of 5 dynamic analysts; • Preparation of analytical material on important dimensions of higher education both in Kazakhstan and foreign nations; • Preparation of press-releases and news for the web-site; • Participation in the World Bank project “On Accreditation in Technical and Vocational Education” designed to analyze international experience and prepare lessons learned for Kazakhstan, preparation and translation of documents; • Participation in the Center’s international cooperation activity with international organizations, particularly OECD. Accompanied OECD experts during their visit to Astana and Karaganda.

I volunteered as a translator for a Peace Corps guest instructor who presented lectures on General Management, Financial Management, Business English etc for local students at the Institue of Management and Marketing in Atyrau, where I was a student, as well.
