HRM EXPATRIATES WESTERN AFRICA OPERATIONS
2011-2012 Undertook assignment focusing on relocation of expatriate employees working over six years in Angola. Coordinated with other locations to organize exchange of relevant expatriate specialists; arranged all respective communication and paperwork without jeopardizing operations and safety. Supported HR team with change management, succession planning, recruitment, development, and appraisals. Supervised and advised staff, coaching national employees. Controlled and followed up on policies. • Coached HR managers/supervisors on ERP system • Processed personal income tax of expats and declarations, prepared payroll of all expats in Angola and Cameroon. • Standardized and developed personal income tax documents, files, declarations, processes of expatriate employees • Serviced all units in timely manner. • Gained respect of employees, organized open and constructive direct communication January 2011 – March 2011 (3 months)Houston 4 months of work for Project reparation phase in Houston, USA. Assignment was cancelled due to political situation in Libya. 2009-2010 Dealt with all work permit and visa issues, reorganization of team, processes, and implementation of policies. Held full responsibility for all payroll issues (bonuses, extras). Oversaw all movements of personnel. Developed and maintained very close “business partner” relationships with operations. Developed and analyzed tax system and proper process according to local regulations, in compliance with FCPA requirements. • Implemented all corporate policies, training assistants to help with expat issues. • Cooperated with HRIS Team and held full responsibility for HR DATA accuracy in region (monthly report, cross checks, supervision of data entry).
