a) Direct equity Investment and Business Development: During my presence within the UCM team, were considered buyout of two mining assets and initiated two development projects.
b) M&A support: I have participated in sell-side M&A process of two copper mining projects and one platinum mining project. We have designed project development strategy, work on attracting strategic and financial investor, attract offtake, EPC and operationship contracts and coordinated feasibility study of the projects. All of these engagements was coordinated by investment banker from Goldman Sachs.
As of now I am acting as leading consultant (sell-side) in developing one of the largest tungsten mining in Kazakhstan.
c) Management services: Starting from August – January 2017, I have been acting as CFO in two affiliate local construction (engineering) companies with average annual turnovers over 1,5 -2 billion tenge each. The major aims of my participation was to implement expenditure optimization, including taxes and to introduce budgeting, reporting processes and internal controls over procurement processes. As the result substantial amount of CIT, VAT and salary related taxes were optimized.
Also during the period from July 2016 to October 2016, I have been participated as a consultant in the budgeting processes improvement project of the “Mercury Properties” JSC. The main aim of the project was to design the operating and financial model for measuring implication of the new management strategy for shopping centers.
